CAMP GEN. MACARIO PERALTA JR., Jamindan, Capiz – The 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division (3ID) here gathered on Wednesday its Company Commanders for a 3-day seminar and workshop here essential in the accomplishment of their mission.

The officers; the Army’s commander in the frontline thus called the "cutting-edge" of the organization as  peacemakers who lead the conduct "bayanihan" works; attended the activity in order to fine-tune operational details, evaluate unit performance, receive update on enemy's tactics, set target goals and receive further guidance.

The Rotary Club of Iloilo City and the Philippine Army continues as partners in a recently embarked joint project for the benefit of 100 children with cleft lip and palate deformities in Panay and Guimaras Islands.

Field units, under the ambit of 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division's (3ID) “Ngiti ng kapayaan” (Smile of Peace), are now in coordination with the Rotarians for the transportation of the patients to the Monfort Extension Hospital in Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo for a surgery to repair the children's facial deformities.

Camp Lukban, Catbalogan City, Samar – The 8th Infantry (Stormtroopers) Division, Philippine Army has installed two (2) new commanders in Leyte and Samar Provinces on September 3 and 4, 2012 respectively.

The Change of Command Ceremony was held at Headquarters 78th Infantry Battalion stationed in Brgy Abuyugon, Burauen, Leyte and at Headquarters 43rd Infantry Battalion stationed in Brgy Erenas, San Jorge, Samar wherein Major General Gerardo T Layug, Commander of 8th Infantry Division was the presiding officer and guest of honor.

Soldiers in Military Camps of Western Visayas recited on Monday's Flag raising ceremony the Harmony Prayer and Pledge for Peace in support to the nation's observance of the National Peace Consciousness Month.

Led by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP), the 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division (3ID) joined other government agencies and civil society organizations in the observance of the annual event conducted in the month of September.

CAMP GEN. MACARIO PERALTA JR., Jamindan, Capiz-Student Officers who will soon handle higher command and staff positions of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) recently concluded on August 23 a four-day strategic and operational joint planning exercises at the 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division (3ID) headquarters here.

The senior officers, taking up the AFP Command and General Staff Course (CGSC), went to 3ID for their Joint and Combined Phase Immersion as part of the course' curriculum of providing a learning venue in an actual operational environment.
